How many apples does it take to make one gallon of cider?

Of course pumpkins are the main attraction at Miners Pumpkin Patch, but our apples are another autumn favorite at the Mining Museum.

During your visit, be sure to check out our working antique apple cider press and see how the best authentic cider is made. The friendly volunteers of the Glen Eagle Sertomas will be on hand to engage guests in cider press demonstrations. We think you’ll be imPRESSED!

Once you’ve seen how it’s made, be sure to sip on some cider from Talbott’s, cider made right here in Colorado and available for purchase at Miners Pumpkin Patch. Just ask for your cup of “Mountain Gold!”

So, just how many apples does it take to make one gallon of cider? What’s your guess?

a) 50

b) 35

c) 100

Stop by the Cider Press Demonstration this weekend to see if you are correct.
